Pet Portrait Commissions - Multi Animal Portrait

Commission prices are estimates and may increase due to complexity. Quotes are for unframed paintings.

Good quality photographs are required for the commission. A variety of animals, including cats are accepted for commissions.

Materials matter - all portraits are created with the highest quality oil paint available. The best quality supports are used for the painting which are lead oil primed linen or lead oil primed panel.

Down payment of 50% is due to begin the work. The remainder is required when the artwork is complete. Shipping is extra.

Paintings take 2-3 months to complete. My process includes painting several studies initially to work out compositional elements. The painting can take up to 6 weeks or longer for larger works to paint. Oil paint dries by the process of oxidation. They must rest for 6 weeks before varnishing.
