Reincarnation is believed to begin after end of life, though the timing varies significantly depending on the tradition and individual circumstances, from potentially instantaneous to spending many years in a traditional state between lives. The cycle of life is central to religions like Buddhism, Hinduism, Jainism, and Sikhism, where reincarnation is seen as a journey of spiritual evolution. In some beliefs, the soul can be reborn almost immediately, while in others, it may take years, centuries, or longer to assimilate past experiences and be ready for a new life.
