We are proud to present Part 1 of the Emerging & Midcareer International Art Awards Exhibition 2025, running from September 11- October 4, 2025

This exhibition, the first of a two-part series, underscores CICA Vancouver’s commitment to amplifying the voices of emerging and mid-career artists. Visitors will encounter a striking interplay of visual forms, from intimate paintings to immersive video installations and provocative mixed-media works. This exhibition brings together artists from a wide range of cultural backgrounds, weaving their practices into a dialogue around pressing and interrelated themes: politics and boundaries, identity and memories, technology and the human condition. Across time and place, these concerns persist, transcending individual contexts to reveal the shared questions that continue to shape our present and our future.

This exhibition and award program cannot be made possible without the support of the Audain Foundation.

A Platform for Discovery and Resonance
The CICA Vancouver Emerging & Midcareer International Art Awards Exhibition transforms artistic exposure into an active dialogue. By inviting visitors to vote for the People’s Choice Award, the exhibition becomes a two-way street of appreciation and critique. It is an invitation to engage deeply, to question, and to connect with works that challenge conventional narratives and expand our understanding of the world.
